Surveillance State

Not sure how much longer Big Brother will allow diving. Good chance somebody is watching as you approach a bin.
At least he knew not to show his vehicle/license plates:

Busted, gave the camera the finger:

Cops take down diver with guns drawn:

Security companies pimping monitored dumpster cams:

WM operates a security company as well:

Cops see divers as a menace and want them extinct, (interesting last name for this chick):

It is important to be careful and watch yourself these days. My style is to blend in and never dive too late when it gets quiet. Cameras are everywhere, which is why it is important to pre-scout a new area during the day before you dive it. One way to defeat a camera if needed is to shine your dive light directly into it as you approach.

That won't help if the alarm company is watching the camera. With luck, they might disregard you walking across the property. Any browsing or blinding them will have them rolling rent-a-cops or calling the real ones.
Security failed here, though:

Caught on video but no intercept. Rent-a-cops had their snouts buried in a box of donuts....or were busy chasing divers?

Of course it's Canada and he's stealing hockey sticks. $300 per stick and $150k worth of stolen sticks? Lots of money in those eh?

He was in there for over an hour unnoticed. Security supposedly "upgraded" after another recent burglary. They are obviously clueless, all they can do is tell the public to put the cops onto anybody they see selling cheap sticks.
