I once picked the mind of a homeless man as he was walking past.
He was certainly on the coherent end of the homeless spectrum so he was able to offer me some insight into their lives. He travelled on foot, so it must be taken into consideration, but the man didn't bother with glass. Too heavy, he claimed as he hoisted his loot bag full of empty plastic bottles and aluminum cans. I too would recycle my glass bottles, that said a man who makes his living off recycables ignores them. Although he has to carry them on his back, he also doesn't pay the gas to transport quantities large enough to be worth anything. Your call. Personally I would recycle that which comes my way anyways (such as bottles I myself or friends drank), but making money off of going out of your way to collect them would be difficult at 5 cents a pop.
